Most of our oral surgery or wisdom tooth removal procedures are done in house by our visiting experienced surgeon. And of course you have the option of sedation or General Aneasthetic or G.A. by referral.
Most dental disease is preventable and as part of our philosophy at Melbourne Street Dental Studio, South Brisbane, we strongly emphasise the routine maintenance visit to help you achieve optimal health.
Our preventative program with regular visits includes yearly intra-oral radiographs, a comprehensive standardized exam so we can reference your progress, and meticulous cleans. We have found that it is easier to treat and manage small concerns before they become big costly concerns. We are committed to help you achieve optimal health.
Biannual visits are the recommended standard for most but we can tailor the treatment to your needs.
When a tooth develops a fracture and or symptoms to biting something hard and cold sensitivity; or when your tooth is more than 60% restorative material it is time to consider protecting your asset with a crown. A crown will help to protect and support your tooth.
When you are missing a tooth and you have two adjacent teeth that may act as anchors or supports then a bridge may be a treatment option especially if these teeth are already heavily restored and would benefit from crowns. But if they are virgin teeth i.e. never needed restorations then your treatment of choice may be an implant.
What type of restoration is best for my tooth?
When your tooth needs a restoration and it has lost more than a third of its existing tooth structure then your treatment of choice is a porcelain restoration.
The rigid and biomimetic properties of porcelain make it ideal to support the tooth’s remaining tooth structure because it does not flex, and can be bonded thus offering superior protection to your tooth.
